MLSLISTINGS.COM – Just in time for the spring home buying season, a new mobile real estate app is available for northern California home buyers and sellers – but this one comes courtesy of the local multiple lising service (MLS), and is populated with up-to-the-hour listing data.

“Virtually every real estate search site has its own mobile app, but we’ve all heard the stories about inaccurate data,” said Jim Harrison, president and CEO of MLSListings, Inc.

“What good does it do to show up at an open house only to find that the price was wrong, or that it’s already been sold? Home buyers and sellers deserve to have a resource they can rely on,” Harrison added.

Northern California’s premier Multiple Listing Service (MLS), MLSListings, partnered with leading mobile and web app developer DoApp to create MLS Source, a mobile app that enables access to real-time real estate listing data directly from the MLS.

It’s free, and works on all major mobile devices including iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry. MLS Source is available on MLSListings as well as in the App Store and Android Marketplace.

Using MLS Source, home buyers can search for nearby properties, save favorites, search for comparable listings, get directions to properties, use multiple map views and contact the listing agent.

“The apps out there are all very similar in features, but the right data is the tipping point,” said Harrison.

“We simply needed to provide a mobile app based only on MLS data that we provide ourselves – no other app is as accurate or as timely as MLS Source,” Harrison also said.

MLSListings serves the California counties of Monterey, San Benito, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz as well as listings from Stanislaus, San Joaquin and Merced.
