Infographic: Real estate agents and technology use

The real estate industry, once a technological laggard at the thought of providing easy public access to listings, is now, by some accounts, well ahead of the game, compared to other similarly-sized businesses.

When it comes to Facebook accounts, YouTube accounts and Twitter, the industry has moved out in front of other small businesses.

And the Realtor.com App has become a game-changer with 16 minutes as the average time spent on the app, compared to only 5 minutes or less on other apps.

However, there’s still room for tech work among real estate agents.

Nearly one in four homeowners say they are more likely to list with an agent who offer’s video, yet only 12 percent of the real estate industry has a YouTube account.

Also, when it comes to social media, almost half of real estate professionals are only somewhat comfortable, uncomfortable or don’t use social media at all.

When Postling.com took a close look at the real estate industry and its use of technology, it compiled this infographic to put a spotlight on the findings.
