A recent pest scare prompted me to put my fear to work and rent a steam cleaner to clean my apartment.
It’s surprising what the elements – air and water – can accomplish.
I found a great local place online called Steam It Gone and after watching the required videos, Steam It Gone delivered the Ladybug XL2300T dry vapor steam cleaner to my door.
I was mentally prepared for the cleaning and sanitizing aspect of steam cleaning.
“Most soils and grime that usually take harsh chemicals and elbow grease can be lifted with a few passes of the steam cleaner and a dry cloth. The machine has amazing disinfecting power, with the ability to destroy bio-film within a few seconds of contact with a hard surface,” Steam It Gone promised.
But there was something else.
I was totally blown away by the energizing effect of steam cleaning. When I finished, the apartment felt so much lighter.
The steaming process vaporized stale energies, particularly in tough areas like kitchen cabinets where the presence of the previous occupants lingered — even after two previous space clearing efforts.
Our wooden floors look shiny and feel lighter, clearer, and cleaner than they did on move-in day.
My bathroom, which often feels wet and boggy? Vastly improved.
Ironically, the steam cleaner wrung out the dampness and cleared a couple of really tough pockets of stuck, heavy energy.
A corner of my bedroom had always been a little off with a kind of dented, flat feeling, but the steam cleaning filled it out and melted the flatness away.
By the end of my 24-hour rental, I was hooked.
I steamed everything – walls, ceilings, as well as all the doors in the apartment – with the intention of welcoming a flow of new, vibrant energy into our lives. I even steamed my car until it felt like brand new, without that wretched new car smell.
The steam cleaning has improved how my home feels.
I sleep better and feel clearer and lighter when working at home.
I recommend steam cleaning as an excellent way to purify and lighten the energy of your home.
