2012 Electoral College vote map satires national election outcome

An Electoral College vote map making the social networking rounds paints a grim picture of a divided nation.

Though perhaps not as personally biting as the San Francisco Bay Area map parody, the blue-state, red-state map of the United States reveals the 2012 presidential election’s electoral college vote outcome – state-by-state.

Blue states, where President Barack Obama won the electoral vote, largely in the Northeast and West, are labeled “Obamerica.”

Red states, where Gov. Mitt Romney was the victor, largely in the South, are labeled “United States of Hate.”

Both candidates shared electoral college vote victories in the greater Midwest.
